Our First Ever Festival of Hope | 10th–15th September 2025

Welcoming the Baton of Hope to the Humber for the first time

This September marks the first-ever Festival of Hope – a bold, creative and compassionate response to self-harm and suicide, taking place across the Humber region in line with World Suicide Prevention Day.

At the centre of this powerful week is something truly special:
For the first time, the Baton of Hope – the UK’s largest suicide prevention initiative – will come to our area. This iconic symbol of remembrance, resilience and action will travel through our events, uniting individuals, communities and organisations in hope and healing.

 Festival Highlights:

  • Sept 10: Walks of Hope across Hull, led By Fitmums
  • Sept 11: Workplaces across the region delivering Talk Suicide training  – helping more people feel confident to have life-saving conversations.
  • Sept 12: Young people’s voices take centre stage through hope-themed images and stories from schools and colleges.
  • Sept 13–14: Wellbeing Weekend at the Humber Wellbeing Hub – including yoga, mindfulness, crafts, sound baths and creative workshops.
  • Sept 15: Our Main Event at The Hub, Humber Bridge – featuring wellbeing stalls, taster sessions, free semicolon tattoos, live music, and a candlelit vigil with the Baton of Hope carried in solidarity and remembrance.

This is more than an event – it’s a regional movement.

We’re proud to work alongside Public Health, NHS, ICS, local councils, schools, businesses, VCSE’s, Fire Service, and the many individuals with lived experience who have shaped this from the start.

💛 Join us. Walk. Share. Volunteer. Remember.
Together, let’s build a community where hope is stronger than silence.
