The Humber Wellbeing Hub is ran by a passionate group of volunteers. If you’re passionate about mental health and have great organisational skills, this is your chance to make a difference. Help us plan events to promote our service, raise funds, and celebrate national days. Please contact us if you’d like to join our group of volunteers.
OUR VOLUNTEERS
“Being a volunteer has opened up a World of new Friendships. It has inspired me to encourage talking to strangers and put them at ease.”

“I started helping at the Hub, when it first started just about the time people were allowed to meet up after COVID restrictions. At that time, people were really struggling with isolation and some unfortunately took their own lives, so along with Jo and Di, we started to make tea and coffees at the end of the path near the Hub, and were surprised how many people stopped and talked, some who were struggling others just for a welcoming hot drink.
Over the last 4 years as the Hub evolved it became very clear there was a need for someone in distress to be able to have a chat about their fears and anxieties by just calling in, and not going through a lengthy process. then in 2022, I lost my husband suddenly, we as a family were devastated, this is when I needed the Hub, it is such a lovely place to be and over the last 4 years not only has the Hub gone from strength to providing a much needed service but the volunteers have become a little family, who are always there to help each other along with anyone else who needs their support.”

“I volunteered at the very start of Hub being opened and have enjoyed meeting with different people from all walks of life. I take pride in knowing I have helped individuals who have come in to seek help and advice on their particular problem and feel valued when they have
